With revision season approaching, we know that many of our Senior pupils are looking for ways to stay organised and manage their workload. To support them, I’ve put together a seven-part video series specifically focused on using AI as a “study partner” rather than a shortcut.
We are focusing on a tool called NotebookLM. Unlike general AI, this tool stays strictly within the boundaries of the pupil’s own class notes and syllabus. It doesn’t “hallucinate” facts from the internet; it helps pupils interrogate and understand their own work.
The first three videos are now ready for your children to use:
The Starter Guide: A quick 5-minute setup to get their digital revision workspace ready and their syllabus uploaded.
Chapter 1: How to use “Learning Guide” mode to test themselves and ensure they aren’t just reading notes, but actually remembering them.
Chapter 2: How to generate focused study guides, and crucially, how to use the “citation” feature to fact-check the AI against their notes.
Our goal is to ensure MCM pupils use these tools to “think harder, not just work faster.” By mastering these techniques now, they are building essential skills for university and beyond.

As always, if you have any questions about how we are integrating these tools at the College, please do get in touch.
