Climbing – Active Sports in Games Sessions
In just three short weeks, the 2026–2027 climbing season has officially kicked off during Games, with 18 enthusiastic pupils tackling rigorous warm-ups, challenging bouldering routes and wall-navigation skills.
The group has already made impressive progress, mastering essential technical skills such as tying the figure-of-eight knot and belaying safely. A massive shout-out to Takumi K for an extraordinary display of strength, holding on to the hanging apparatus for an impressive 2 minutes and 10 seconds!
Mr Clements, Miss McIntosh and Mrs Kinghorn have been thoroughly impressed by the group’s outstanding work ethic and positive attitude and they look forward to seeing the pupils build on this strong foundation in the weeks ahead.

U15 Blues – Football, 21st September 2026
Opposition: Raffles
Report: Despite the Thor alarm forcing us ‘indoors’ we still managed to play a competitive fixture at the Pre-Prep covered area. The 5v5 format on the mini pitch made for a fast paced game, with very little time on the ball. The MCM team adapted well by playing one touch football, passing the ball quickly and maintaining a diamond shape.
We rotated teams, with the Remove team playing the first 10 minute period. Oscar was solid in defence as always, with Alfie and Thomas moving the ball quickly, creating the chance for Kintus to score. Barnaby provided strength and composure on the ball and our new addition in goal, Nico, looked composed and assured keeping a clean sheet.
The Shell contingent found the second period slightly trickier with the opposition getting on the score sheet before they came back strong in the later stages. Zach took his goal well, with a fine finish from distance. Charlie, Nathaniel and Radu were skilful and elusive in possession, creating chances for each other. Jaynesh displayed his usual athleticism in goal making a number of fine saves and he was backed up by Junghoon in defence who looked as composed as always. A positive, if slightly belated start to the season, the team are ready and raring to go for the Johor Schools Cup on Saturday, hopefully the haze does not get in our way!
Score: 4-2 win
